You've probably heard of Alexa Chung by now, the English host of It's On With Alexa Chung, for her style. But I just recently became a fan. I love how she mixes vintage with high-end pieces. She has edgy but attainable street style. I'll be doing a couple of look for less posts on her, so check back for those.

I just wanted to let everyone know that !IT jeans are on sale at Hautelook. I own a pair of the Rising Starlet skinny jeans and they're my favorite jeans so I ordered two more pairs in different colors. I also got the Pepper skinny jeans (photo below). All of the jeans are $31, except for one pair, (normally $78), I really reccomend the brand, the jeans are so comfortable and they're perfect with flats. Flowersophy is an accessories line I discovered through Twitter and I fell in love with the line. The pieces are whimsical featuring bows, florals, and bright colors. Leather, tulles, and chains are also common themes in the pieces. I had the privilege of interviewing the Austrian designer, Okay Altinisik.
First, are some of the highlights from all of the collections (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, & The Mickey Mouse Collection)
My favorite piece is definitely the Armble Marble braided bracelet. It's such a unique piece and the braided tulle and lace is gorgeous.
The highlight from the winter collection is definitely the music clip. It's so genius, it clips on your earbud headphones. I love the design!
I love all of the rings! Rings are my favorite jewelery item and I always have at least one on. The chain bow & Mickey Mouse rings are so original & cute.
I adore the yellow chain bracelet and the chain belt. The pieces would be great for spring and summer!
Flowersophy also makes hair bands. This one is a braided chiffon band with a buckle. They're a really cute addition to a ponytail.
Also in the line are sequin pieces such as this belt and bracelet. Both are really cute & the bracelet would be great layered with other bracelets.

How did you come up with the name Flowersophy?
For me Flowersophy is THE way to express philosophy (I studied philosophy besides fine arts in Vienna, Austria) in a popular and friendly way. Contemporary philosophyis not more than history of philosophy in the main literature. Flowersophy is my attempt to think philosophy progressively by leaving the repetitive body of written philosophy into the fields of design.
What were your inspirations for the line?
I´m mostly inspired by the individual designs and thoughts in social web technologieslike Blogger, Myspace and Twitter.
Do you have a favorite piece?
My favorite peace is the Micky Mouse Ring (in black). I was wearing it 1 day after I designed it for a dentist visit in Istanbul. I was lying on the dentist chair and kept rubbing the leather ears of the ring with my sweaty fingers. It relieved my pain. The ring is my very intimate friend since then.
Would you ever design a clothing line?
Maybe sometime in the future. My next stop will be the incorporation of electronic communication into fashion accessories. I got some exciting ideas for new pieces in this area which will take a lot of effort and work. I need to build up a special team engaging engineers and nerds to realize a nice variety of ideas. I designed the Music Clips as earrings for headphones and co-developed the Austria address book on http://www.austrians.at to begin with the new line.
